LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAM: ONE HOUR SESSIONS ON SATURDAYS, 12 NOON - 1PM (10 Weeks) COST: $130.00 For those just starting out on skates or those who need a little more practice & instruction. Skills taught are balance, forward skating, backward skating, stopping, turning and more. A POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND HAVING FUN WHILE LEARNING TO SKATE IS OUR TOP GOAL! This program is designed to develop and improve basic skating skills for those who are just starting out or need a bit more instruction. Skaters are broken up into one of three small groups with qualified coaches. EQUIPMENT NEEDED: —A hockey helmet with full face mask (must be HECC approved) —Mouth guard that attaches to the face mask of the helmet —Neck guard —Knee pads —Elbow pads —Gloves (mittens are ok) —Skates (sharpened, no double runners) LEARN TO PLAY HOCKEY PROGRAM: ONE HOUR SESSIONS ON SATURDAYS, 9 AM - 10AM (10 Weeks) COST: $130.00 Skaters will learn the basic rules of hockey, teamwork, sportsmanship, positioning, stick & puck control, passing and shooting while maintaining a focus on skating. This program is designed for those skaters who have progressed beyond the basic skating skills and have a desire to learn the basics of playing hockey. Skaters will learn improved skating, teamwork, sportsmanship, passing, stick control, basic positioning, shooting and handling a puck.
